Capital Link introduces in Greece the concept of the Annual Investor Relations Awards (Annual Greek IR Awards), which is well established in most developed markets. The objective is to identify and reward those companies and individuals who adopt and practice high standards of Corporate Governance, Financial Dosclosure and Investor Relations.

The IR Awards will be concucted by Capital Link on an annual basis following the same principles and procedure.

Corporate Governance, Financial Disclosure and Investor Relations are important functions of listed companies. Their objective is not only to fulfull regulatory requirements but also to achieve effective access to the investment community in Greece as well as abroad.

These activities should be carried out on a regular and consistent basis and not be a function of the particular trend of the Stock Market. The quality, consistentcy and reliability of these functions contribute greatly to market efficiency and transparency. Therefore, the concept of the IR AWARDS aims on an annual basis, through the polling of market participants, to identify and reward the companies, as well as the individuals who adopt and practice high standards in Corporate Governance, Financial Disclosure and Investor Relations.

The Annual Greek IR Awards are conducted by Capital Link in cooperation with Institutional Investor, FTSE, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and with the support of Athens Exchange.
